Birdwatching, an option for ecotourism in Yucatan

You will have the opportunity to glimpse it if you join The Tourist Festival of Birds, a series of events that are part of the Toh Bird Festival 2014 organized by various civil institutions, universities and companies like Maya Village. The idea is to promote rural tourism sites and ecotourism that exist in Yucatan and also make known its rich landscape and the potential they have for birdwatching. At each event fans are invited to birding (birdwatching) as well as all those who wish to know and learn about them and participate in observation tours (birding); groups of 8-15 people are formed during the morning and walking trails and guided by a specialist in birds, ideal for photography enthusiasts travel paths. On this occasion, the pajareada be held at a place known as UMA (Environmental Management Unit), located in the town of Temozon near the archaeological site of Ek Balam.
