Located 36 km north of Merida; take the Merida Progreso road, number 261. It’s 30 minutes by car, or 45 by bus. Buses can be taken at the Autoprogreso station, on Calle 62 between 65 and 67 in Merida Centro.
Progreso is accessible 24 hours a day; buses run from 5 am to 10 pm.
Progreso takes the safety of its inhabitants and guests very seriously.To make your visit even more memorable, try to schedule it on any of the following dates: San Telmo Fair (15 days after Lent). The celebration of the Day of the Mexican Navy includes a concert by the Navy Marching Band the night of May 31 at the Plaza Militar, and the morning of June 1.
